Freya and Charlie, a husband-and-wife duo, are the creative forces behind Studio Lovely Jubley, a Bristol-based photography studio specialising in food & drink, and product photography & video.
Fuelled by their background and expertise, and driven by a desire to start their own business, they embarked on the journey of establishing their own photography studio. Drawing upon their complementary skills, they offer a unique and comprehensive service to brands and agencies alike. With Charlie's adeptness behind the camera and Freya's flair as a stylist, they breathe life into products, seamlessly blending narrative with visual aesthetics. In every project, they strive to capture the essence of the brand and convey its story with authenticity.
FREYA'S background lies in Set Design within the Film & Television industry, where she spent many years helping craft immersive environments for the screen. With a keen eye for detail, she honed her skills in prop buying and set dressing in Art Departments across a range or narrative productions, from TV commercials & music videos, to feature films and interactive events.
Driven by a passion for visual storytelling, Freya eventually found her way into the world of styling for stills. Drawing upon her experience in set design, she transitioned into curating aesthetics and creating captivating imagery for brands.
CHARLIE'S fascination with photography sparked when he was about 14, when his dad gave him an old film camera. Captivated by the medium, he began capturing candid moments of his brother at the skatepark.
As his passion for photography grew, so did his weird and wonderful collection of cameras. Charlie then went on to study photography at university, then worked alongside some amazing London food and product photographers. Starting off by assisting, he honed his photography, lighting and editing techniques, and moved his way up to the role of photographer, eventually coming together with Freya to create Studio Lovely Jubley.
